Diablo III

My apologies for the tardiness of the blog this week!  I haven't been up to much that's been exciting to post.  Well there have been some cool things like my day out with Johan and Rebecca on Saturday to the mountains, and then on Tuesday I went out for drink + dinner with Damien & Rachel (come to think of it I do have some good photos to share).

But more recently I've been consumed in the wonderful world of Diablo III.  The last 2 nights has been a nerd-fest of online gaming.  I must say that Blizzard Entertainment has done an amazing job of creating a gorgeous world to explore and have adventures in.  I've never seen a 3D game feel so non-3D and painterly.  By non-3D I mean you barely see any 3D polygon shapes.  The painted textures and lighting is fantastic and it feels like I'm wandering around in a 3D matte painting.  Beautiful!

Difficult to convey the feeling of moving through this "painting" but at least you have some sort of visual to start with :)
